The Wilmington City Council is expected this week to approve plans to get a new roof for the Emergency Services and Disaster Agency (ESDA) building on north Main Street.
On Nov. 9, the Committee of the Whole reviewed several options for the roof replacement at the building.
“The problem with that old roof is, the wood is so dry and the nails kind of work up,” said ESDA director Dennis Housman, adding that the wear and tear on the roof currently has caused some leaks into the building. “The roof on there now is probably 20 years old.”
