The Wilmington Police Department will purchase solar powered traffic signs to add to their enforcement cache.
On Dec. 11, WPD Chief Adam Zink told the members of the Committee of the Whole that the department had sought out three quotes for the signs, which will include four flashing LED solar powered “no truck” signs, and two solar powered speed radar signs.
“We’ll meet after we get them to determine the best location for them, but they are all pole-mounted. They’ll be fixed in a current location,” Zink said.
