Braidwood to appoint interim city administrator

Pending approval by the Braidwood City Council, Mayor Todd Lyons announced his intent to appoint Stephan Gulden as interim city administrator.
“This appointment will be on an interim basis,” Todd said. “Stephan brings a wealth of experience in public service, holding a master’s degree in Leadership and Public Administration from Lewis University.”
Gulden is currently a consultant for municipal and private development with Gulden and Associates Consulting.
His career includes over 15 years as a director of parks and recreation/special projects manager, followed by more than 15 years serving as village manager for Romeoville.
Gulden will be compensated at a flat hourly rate with a gas stipend. This interim position does not include additional benefits such as a city vehicle, insurance, retirement package or pension, or paid leave.
“Stephen brings the professionalism, experience, and passion we need as we modernize operations, boost economic development, and improve services,” Lyons said.
According to Lyons a public meet-and-greet will be scheduled in the near future.
“Each council member was able to meet Stephan and review his resume and ask him any questions,” Lyons said.
