Charles Krik Jr.

BRAIDWOOD—Charles “Charlie” Krik, Jr., 80, of Braidwood, IL passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.  
Born Sept. 17, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Charles Sr. and Agnes (nee Hackett) Krik.  He married Mary Danser on Oct. 10, 1959 in Long Beach, CA.  Retired from the United States Navy as well as the Pipefitters Union.  He greatly enjoyed his time in the Navy.
He was a devoted member of the River of Life Lutheran Church in Channahon, IL.  In his leisure he enjoyed playing darts, car shows and spending time with his family and at his church.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mary; daughters: Debra (Dennis) Dean of Naperville, IL, Cheryl (Randy) Maca of Beaver Falls, PA and Michele Krik of Braidwood, IL.;  Sisters: Marion (Bill) Noonan of Oaklawn, IL, Patricia Cross of Phoenix, AZ, and Katy Koenig of Frankfort, IL; seven grandchildren: Nate, Mike, Jon, Lizzy, Josh, Kyle and Ethan.
Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Agnes Krik.  
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home and Crematory.    Funeral services will follow on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Hans Fiene officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.   
Memorial donations in his name may be directed to River of Life Lutheran Church in Channahon, IL.
