Dino V. Saracco

WILMINGTON—Dino V. Saracco, 58, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL.
Born July 29, 1963 in Chicago, IL, Dino was a son of Dominic and Laura (Montgomery) Saracco. He was raised and educated in Lockport, and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School. Dino was a founding member of the Knights of the Innocent M.C., and was a former volunteer firefighter and paramedic with the Wilmington Fire Department. He belonged to Teamsters Local 710, and drove a truck for Consolidated Freightways, as well as for Anderson Logistics. Dino was an avid motorcycle enthusiast; he enjoyed bargain hunting, and took pleasure in finding a good auction. He served as a youth coach around Wilmington, was a passionate cook, and cherished spending time with his granddaughter.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Melanie Saracco; four children: Theresa (Marty) Ward, Stephanie Saracco, Dino Saracco, and Christina Saracco; one granddaughter, Isabella “Izzy”; four siblings: Mike (Sandi) Saracco, Dianne Saracco, Debbie Saracco and Steve Saracco; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dino was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Laurie Saracco.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 5 p.m. Pastor Brad Shumaker will preside.
