Grundy FFA to celebrate member achievements, honor sponsors
The Grundy Area FFA invites community members to join the group for the chapter banquet on Saturday, May 27.
The Grundy Area FFA Banquet is an annual event to celebrate the achievements of its members and the activities of the chapter for the 2022-2023 school year. Members are presented with degrees and honor award winners.
In addition, the chapter will recognize supporters and sponsors who helped youth pursue their interests in agriculture.
There will be an open house starting at 5 p.m. to give the community a chance to see what the GAVC Agriculture Program entails.
Students will showcase what they have learned over the year and give tours of the school farm.
Jason R. Bunting, new State Representative of Illinois' 106th House District, which covers parts of Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, LaSalle, Livingston, McLean and Will counties, will visit with the public during the open house. Bunting will serve as the keynote speaker for the Grundy Area FFA Banquet.
Rep. Bunting is a farmer near Emington, and he supports youth in the FFA organization and the agriculture industry.
The banquet (meal and awards) will start at 6 p.m., for those who RSVP if planning to attend no later than Friday, May 19. RSVP to Courtney Kloeckner at 815-955-0711.
