Kids to hunt for eggs on South Island

    The Easter Bunny is expected to make an appearance at the Wilmington Lions Club’s annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 13.
    There event is for children through age 12, who will search for eggs in four age groups; 2 - to 4-year-olds, 5- to 7-year-olds, 8- to 10-year-olds and 11- and 12-year-olds.
    Raffle prizes will be awarded in each age group, and the Lions will serve treats. The event and the raffle are free, but children should bring their own baskets to hold their finds and their prizes.
    The hunt will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. in the South Island Park, around the large pavilion.
    For those kids who can’t make it to the Lion’s Club’s event:
    • Aperion Care will host an egg hunt  featuring candy and prizes on Friday, April 19, at 3 p.m. Aperion Care is located at 555 W. Kahler Road in Wilmington.
    • Christian Life Assembly, at 2960 E. Division St. in Diamond, will host its annual hunt after the 10 a.m. Easter Sunday service on April 21. The hunt is open to children through 12 years of age. Prizes will be awarded.
