Take note of that letter you received

The Village of Diamond sent out a notice to residents that it has no role in a letter that was sent in the mail.

The National Police Association mailed a letter to residents which looks like it is coming from Diamond. 

The letter seeks donations for policing to preserve "quality of life".

"THIS IS NOT FROM THE VILLAGE OR THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS," the village warned.  "Please be aware of this and any other mailings you might receive from organizations. When in doubt, please contact the village hall.
