Tina Pippin

WILMINGTON—Tina Pippin, 91, of Wilmington, and formerly of Chicago and Burnham, IL, as well as Schererville, IN, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Presence Our Lady of Victory in Bourbonnais.
Born Aug. 29, 1927 in Chicago, Taneta Gertrude “Tina” was a daughter of Tony and Anna (Makalusa) Liberto.
Tina was a former member of St. Francis de Paula; will be remembered as a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, and cherished every opportunity to follow her grandkids in all of their sports and activities.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Pippin; one son, Floyd (Carolyn) Combes and one daughter, Laurie Brezenski; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, three sons: Martin A. Combes, Thomas D. Combes and Michael J. Pippin; four sisters: Mary (Bill) McCallum, Theresa (Pete) Bombin, Rose (Lawrence) Maretti and Lucy (John) Gentry, and one brother, Louis Liberto.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 2 p.m. until the time of funeral service and celebration of life at 7 p.m.
Cemetery committal services and burial will follow Thursday, April 25, 2019 in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Those wishing to attend may meet at the cemetery chapel for services at 10 a.m.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Tina’s memory to her family for their distribution.
